Danielle is a Registered Psychotherapist and has been working with children and families in different settings for the past number of years. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Studies from Brock University and her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She has experience working with different at-risk populations.
Danielle has been working at Connect Family Solutions since 2021 and is supervised by Gillian. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. She has received training in parent/child contact problems and working with high conflict families.
Working with children and families is very important to Danielle. Danielle assists families to work through their conflict and offers solutions for them to improve their communication, therefore improving the lives of her client’s children. Danielle also works with children experiencing divorce and separation to ensure that they can process their feelings in a safe environment and helps them understand any changes that may be occurring in their family unit.
Danielle also runs her own private practice, Gaio Counselling, which offers individual therapy. She specializes in working with people of all ages and genders who struggle with eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. Through personal and professional experience, Danielle is knowledgeable about mental health issues and offers an approach that is unique to each client. Danielle uses a variety of therapeutic modalities to ensure each client receives the treatment that is suited for them.
